Height Safety Equipment Inspections

Inspect, Certify, Tag and Record

Pinnacle Height Safety provides inspection, testing and tagging of a range of fall protection, confined space and fire and rescue systems and equipment. We can ensure your compliance with relevant Australian Standards such as AS1891 which recommends PPE equipment inspections are carried out at six monthly intervals. Anchor inspections must be performed yearly.

Don’t risk it. Ensure you meet your legislative obligations

Current legislation AS 1891.4 requires all height safety equipment such as harnesses, lanyards, static lines, fall arrest equipment etc. to be inspected at intervals not exceeding six months by a competent person. Pinnacle Height Safety can:

  • inspect your equipment
  • certify its satisfactory condition
  • tag the items for easy on-site identification and
  • record all data electronically for future reference

By utilising this service you can rest assured that the height safety equipment you have in circulation:

  • is SAFE
  • meets necessary standards of efficiency and durability
  • proves your compliance to current OH&S regulations
The dangers of incorrect tagging

There has been more than one confirmed serious injury as a result of inappropriately located inspection tags. There is evidence to prove that some inspectors have affixed their tags in positions that could pose a threat to users. All of our inspectors are experts in their field. We can offer a variety of tagging options including cutting edge RFID radio frequency identification utilising 'chip' technologies.

Dangers of incorrectly placed inspection tags:

Note how this tag allows the user to hook into the tag instead of the connective interface (D ring) on the harness. This is one of many examples Pinnacle Height Safety have corrected during inspection and auditing work. We understand Height Safety PPE and offer professional cost effective solutions to ensure your equipment is thoroughly inspected and that any tagging is done without causing unnecessary risk to users.
