What is Standby Rescue?
Potentially high-risk work such as work at heights or confined space work necessitates a well-trained team in attendance to coordinate a rescue in the event of an incident or emergency. Some sites choose to train (and continually re-train) their own workers in these skills however increasingly organisations are finding that it is more effective and more economical to arrange a contract team of rescue specialists to be on site for the duration of the high-risk work.
How long does it take to do the training?
It depends on the course – some are only one day, and others can take longer. For example we run single day Working at Heights and Confined Space courses, and our Rope Access Training is five days, including the assessment.
Can we tailor the training to our site procedures?
Absolutely. Simply let us know at the time of booking and we can personalise your training. This can only be done with on-site training, however.
Can I use my own equipment while training?
Yes you can. If you don’t have any, that’s no problem either, as we have our enough for all students.
